HOUSTON – Students were evacuated from two Houston Independent School District schools Wednesday morning while crews investigated a possible gas leak.
Officials said students at both Lawson Middle School and Grissom Elementary were moved to other buildings on campus while the smell of natural gas was investigated.

Those students returned to their classroom about 11:30 a.m.
HISD officials said parents were notified of the issue.
