2 detained, deputies searching for 1 more after shooting in Hockley

HOCKLEY, Texas – Police are investigating a shooting that happened on Tuesday. They have detained two possible suspects and they are looking for a third.

According the Harris County Sheriff's Office, police responded a little after 6 p.m. to the 24000 block of Bauer Hockley Road, in the rural part of the county.

When they arrived at the scene, they found a 17-year-old who had been shot several times. He was flown by Life Flight to Memorial Hermann-Texas Medical Center.

He remains in critical but stable condition, according to authorities.

Deputies said the victim and two other people were approached by three men on a golf cart. Words were exchanged and then the altercation became physical.

Investigators said one of the men on the golf cart pulled a gun and opened fire.

Deputies were able to detain two of the men, but the third managed to get away.
