HOUSTON - Two brothers are recovering after they said armed men attacked them and then stole their car.

Investigators said the brothers were out shopping and returned around 7:00 a.m. Saturday morning to their grandparent's home in the 6000 block of Crestridge near Southville in southeast Houston.

The two were surprised by several men who drove up to them in a truck. Police said one of the men jumped out, pulled a gun and hit the driver on the head. The crooks grabbed the keys and then took off with the car, said investigators.

Neighbors said in this neighborhood, you need to keep your eyes open.

"It doesn't make you feel safe at all," said Clarence Hayes, who lives nearby. "But it's not just in this neighborhood, it's around Houston. We have to be safe and watch ourselves."

If you have any information about this incident, you are asked to call police.
