HOUSTON - The reward for information about a violent pawn shop robbery has been increased to $15,000.

Houston police said a man armed with two guns approached the counter of the Cash America in the 3800 block of Broadway about 9:40 a.m. on Nov. 20.

The robber forced a manager to hand over everything in the register and jewelry cases, investigators said.

Police said the robber shot the manager in the leg as he left the store.

The robber carjacked a couple in the parking lot and fled in their vehicle, which was found abandoned a short time later, detectives said.

The robber was described as white or Hispanic with an average height and heavy build. He was last seen wearing a black long-sleeved shirt, blue jeans, black gloves and a camouflage face mask.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
