HARRIS COUNTY, Texas – A man is dead after two pickup trucks collided head-on in the 3200 block of Federal Road inside the Washburn Tunnel around 11 p.m. Saturday.
Authorities say Rigoberto Velazquez-Sandoval was driving a GMC Sierra and failed to stay in a single lane. Velazquez-Sandoval first struck the left-side mirror of a Ford truck, according to the Harris County Sheriff's Office.

Officials say he hit a different Ford truck head-on and suffered severe head injuries.
Investigators say Velazquez-Sandoval's breath smelled like alcohol and that open containers were found in his truck.
One of the passengers in the second Ford truck suffered a head injury and was taken to a hospital, according to the Harris County Sheriff's Office.
The tunnel was closed for several hours but has since reopened.
The wreck remains under investigation.
