1 killed, 1 wounded in NW Harris County shooting

HARRIS COUNTY, Texas – Deputies trying to piece together a deadly shooting in northwest Harris County on Wednesday.

What we do know is that one person was killed and another was taken to the hospital in critical condition.

Authorities said they are not currently searching for any suspects.

Investigators said they responded to a call around 2:45 p.m. from a homeowner who said a 26-year-old man had been shot and showed up to their door asking for help.

This was at a residence near the 17900 block of Stoney Glade Court, near the intersection of Longenbaugh Drive and Barker Cypress Road.

The resident applied pressure on the wounds and attempted to stabilize the man before Life Flight arrived and took him to a downtown hospital where he's listed in critical condition.

Around that same time, another resident called police and said that about a block away from the initial scene, they heard the sound of gunshots.

When deputies arrived at that scene, they found the body of a 56-year-old woman who was shot to death.

Investigators said it's too early to say what exactly played out or what the relationship is between that man and that woman, but there was a weapon recovered at the scene.

Investigators said the area will be blocked off as they continue their investigation.
