HARRIS COUNTY - Authorities are investigating Sunday's small plane crash near Spring.
According to the Harris County Sheriff's Office, the plane crashed on Boudreax Road and Gleannloch Forest Drive. Hooks Airport is located about a mile from where the plane went down.
Officials said there were three people on board the plane when it crashed. Two people were not injured, but the third was transported by ambulance to a nearby hospital.
The Texas Department of Public Safety says the single-engine plane apparently was trying to make an emergency landing in a field. DPS Trooper Richard Standifer says the plane possibly hit a berm before crashing.
As is customary with plane crashes, the DPS and the FAA will lead the investigation.
No other information has been released at this time.
