1 arrested, 2 on the run after game room break-in

HOUSTON – A man was arrested and police are searching for two others after they broke into a game room in southwest Houston, police said.

Officials said three men broke into a business next to the JP Game Room on Bellaire Boulevard near Dairy Ashford just after 3 a.m. Monday.

The men cut a hole in the wall of that business to get into the game room, police said.

Police said the men drove off empty-handed when they realized they were being filmed by surveillance cameras.

Officials said when police spotted the vehicle, the men stopped at a nearby Walgreens and fled on foot.

Officers caught one of the men and are looking for two others.

Police are looking for one man who was last seen wearing a dark blue hooded shirt, red undershirt, black pants, and grey shoes. Police said he was carrying a sledge hammer. The other man was wearing dark colored clothing and took off in the late model grey Chevy Malibu.

The owner of the game room said this is the third time in one month his business has been broken into. A previous robbery also happened through a hole in the wall coming from the business next door.

"We fixed that, and they came back again through that way and then today they came through here," the owner said.

The owner says all he can do is fix the holes again and hope they are not coming back again.

Anyone with information about the crime is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
