This year’s theme? Sports Club.

Think activewear, accessories, and playful pieces inspired by Barbie’s fun, athletic lifestyle — all sold straight from the bright pink Barbie Truck as it rolls through town. It’s part of a nationwide tour that’s been crisscrossing the U.S. since 2019, with each year spotlighting a different Barbie era.

From themed moments and photo ops to exclusive merchandise you won’t find just anywhere, it’s shaping up to be the ultimate Barbiecore pop-up.

And while we’re on the subject of Barbie love in Houston…

You might remember when Houston Life stepped inside the home of local collector Melissa Whiting, whose private Barbie collection is nothing short of jaw-dropping.

Melissa began seriously collecting in 1997 after her mother gifted her a special Barbie bride and groom set — but her love for Barbie started long before that, with her very first Dream House back in 1983.

Today, she owns more than 300 dolls.

Her collection includes everyone from Tina Turner and Destiny’s Child to Maya Angelou and Rosa Parks — plus Disney characters and even Air Force Barbies. Some are valued at up to $500… but selling them? Not a chance.

“I’ve always had a love for Barbie,” Melissa told us. “I’ll keep the dolls. I love Barbie. I’m keeping Barbie!”

So whether you’re heading out to see the Barbie Truck in person or simply embracing your inner collector at home, it’s clear Barbie’s influence is alive and well in Houston.
