See wildlife, save wildlife

How a trip to the Houston Zoo impacts wildlife around the world

HOUSTON – A trip to the Houston Zoo isn't complete without a wildlife encounter.

“If you come out to the Houston Zoo and see these great animals, you get to see them moving around and actually help to save them in the wild,” explains Kevin Hodge, general curator with Houston Zoo.

Hodge also talked about their new Pantanal exhibit that will be coming to the Houston Zoo in 2020.

The exhibit will feature animals like the armadillo, macaw, and prehensile-tailed porcupine.
