SUGAR LAND, Texas - A Bacon Bros. Public House restaurant is coming soon to the Houston area, according to the restaurant's website.
The restaurant is expected to open at 2110 Town Square Place in Sugar Land.
Its website says Houston entrepreneur Travis Cook's work regularly took him to Greenville, Sout Carolina, where he became a Bacon Bros. regular, despite living halfway across the country in Texas.
Cook's next trip to Greenville was for a meeting to discuss bringing the concept to Texas, the website said. The group said it found the perfect spot in Sugar Land.
Cook met Houston chef Joseph Zerwas, eventually both driving to South Carolina, where they spent a couple of months learning everything there was to know about Bacon Bros., the website said.
"Cook and Zerwas soaked up the Bacon Brothers' values: serving only the highest quality, farm fresh food and ingredients in an engaging, warm environment with superior service," the restaurant said on its website. "The whole Bacon Brothers team is excited to bring these values and this experience to Sugar Land, Texas."
The restaurant features a straightforward, made-from-scratch menu, its website says.
