HOUSTON – A man died Tuesday night after being hit by a vehicle while walking along a northwest Harris County road.
The crash was reported about 9:45 p.m. on the westbound side of Barker Cypress Road near Dinner Creek Drive.

According to Harris County deputies, the man was walking next to the road and may have fallen into traffic as a vehicle approached. The driver tried to avoid hitting the man but was unsuccessful, deputies said.
The man, whose identity was not released, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver was not intoxicated, deputies said.
The crash is under investigation.
