HOUSTON – Houston rapper Paul Wall is grateful that he and his son are alive after their van was hit by a pickup while on the way to a concert last week.
Wall posted a photo of the crash scene on his Instagram account this week, saying that his 12-year-old son, Will, was with him in the van when it was t-boned by a white pickup Saturday as they arrived at the Nutty Brown Amphitheatre in Austin.
“I looked out the window and see a white truck coming right toward us,” Wall wrote in the post.
Wall said everyone in the van was forced to climb out of the back because of the damage.
On Tuesday, Wall posted a photo of him and his son taken hours before the crash. He said he is in “excruciating pain,” but grateful he and his son are still alive.
“A pic of me and my son Will before we faced death,” Wall wrote. “No matter how much pain I feel all over my body at the moment, I’m overcome with gratitude knowing that we survived.”
