Move over, Gene Kelly: Houston rapper Bun B is putting on his dancin' shoes in 'Singin' in the Rain'

HOUSTON – Is Houston rapper Bun B the new Gene Kelly?

He’s trying to be, at least, in a White Oak Music Hall performance called “Singin’ in the Rain: A Houston and Cinema Arts Celebration.”

The performance will be held on Saturday, November 11 at 7 p.m. The live performance will also feature Gulf Coast Entertainment and jazz singer Kat Edmonson, who recently appeared in the Woody Allen film, Cafe Society. The performers will sing and dance numbers from the film, which was released 65 years ago in 2017.

A photo of Bun B in the same iconic pose as Kelly in the title number from the movie was posted on the Houston Cinema Arts Festival’s Instagram page.
