HOUSTON – Avenida Houston will be transformed Wednesday nights in May and June for free concerts for Party on the Plaza.
Local and regional artists will be showcased for free, organizers said. The concerts will take place in front of the George R. Brown Convention Center along Avenida Plaza from 7 to 9 p.m.

Organizers said two groups will perform each night, and there will be activities and more.
Here's the concert lineup:
- May 3: Los Skarnales w/ Muddy Belle
- May 10: Allen Oldies w/ Ruby and the Reckless
- May 17: Mango Punch! w/ Gio Chamba
- May 24: SOULDIG w/ Sherita Perez
- May 31: Nick Gaitan w/ Nico Diaz
- June 7: Ishi w/ Romina Von Mohr
- June 14: Say Girl Say w/ El Lago
- June 21: Brownout w/ Vodi
- June 28: Fat Tony w/ Young Mammals
Organizers said 104.1 KRBE will be live from Party on the Plaza every Wednesday starting at 5:30 p.m.
Anyone who attends Party on the Plaza will find restaurants along Avenida Plaza. Organizers said the restaurants are open daily and close at 11 p.m.
Alcoholic beverages will be available for purchase from bar stations along the plaza. Organizers said outside alcoholic beverages will not be allowed.
