Christina Aguilera continues to embrace the natural look, this time, while participating in one of her favorite pastimes -- getting pierced.
On Monday, the "Beautiful" singer shared a series of shots on social media which featured her in next to no makeup while getting what appears to be her 12th body piercing.
Aguilera -- who also has her lip, nose and nipples pierced -- opted for the cartilage of her right ear. She described the process as enjoyable and "euphoric" for her.
"Forgot how much I love getting pierced... so euphoric for me. Wonder what else I should get done again," tweeted the 37-year-old pop star, who also added several additional images to Instagram.
Just last month, Aguilera went nearly makeup-free for the cover of Paper magazine, exposing her bare skin and freckles. The mother of two addressed her numerous transformations over the years and expressed that she's finally at a point in her life where she can appreciate her "raw beauty."
"I've always been someone that obviously loves to experiment, loves theatrics, loves to create a storyline and play a character in a video or through stage," she told the magazine. "I'm a performer, that's who I am by nature. But I'm at the place, even musically, where it's a liberating feeling to be able to strip it all back and appreciate who you are and your raw beauty."
The former coach of The Voice also shared that she hopes to inspire her 3-year-old daughter, Summer Rain, to be fearless and not swayed by others’ opinions when it comes to her own personal sense of style.
"I don't want to inject too much upon her as to how I'm choosing to live my life and what I've done in my career," says the GRAMMY winner, who is engaged to Summer's dad, Matt Rutler. "I just hope I can allow what I'm doing to influence her to be her own person. That's truly what I hope for her. I really want to make sure my children are both very confident in the sense that they know who they are and that they won't be easily swayed by outside opinion."
