Magnet Schools of America to award Michael Dudas

GALVESTON, Texas – The Magnet Schools of America named a Ball High School teacher the Regional Teacher of the Year.

Michael Dudas, the media arts magnet coach, has been instrumental in accelerating community partnerships for the magnet program.

The Magnet Schools of America said it awards exemplary magnet school teachers who demonstrate instructional excellence in the classroom and outstanding leadership in the school and community.

In association with My Bay Area Radio, Dudas' students have launched their own talk shows and are planning a 24/7 streaming station.

Dudas, who has been in demand as a speaker at statewide conferences, will be recognized and receive his award during a ceremony at the MSA's 35th National Conference in Los Angeles, which takes place from April 27-29.

Dudas will also be eligible for the National Magnet School Teacher of the Year, which will be announced during the conference in LA.
