HOUSTON - A lot of free fall fun starts this weekend.

Stop by a Cornelius Nursery on Saturday to check out a pumpkin patch, sit in story corner, enjoy nature crafts and let the kids decorate a free small pumpkin. The Fall Harvest Festival is from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the Cornelius on South Voss near Westheimer and the location on North Dairy Ashford.

Get the whole family to design a scarecrow on Sunday for The Woodlands "Make-Your-Own Scarecrow" competition. Scarecrow making begins at 5:30 p.m. Bring an old pair of clothes for your scarecrow to Northshore Park in Panther Creek in The Woodlands.

"Xathura: A Space Adventure" is playing at the Alamo Drafthouse Vintage Park and Mason Road locations Saturday at 11 a.m.  The movie is free and seating is first come, first served.

This week you can get free samples of Garnier shampoo, Simple Facial Skincare and a Gevalia mocha latte. You do have to give some of your personal information because the samples will be mailed to you. If you don't want to give out your email address, you can open a free email account that you only use for freebies.
