Do you qualify for a refund from Amazon?

Amazon is expected to make up to $70 million in refunds available to customers

Were you charged for an unauthorized in-app purchase made by your child?

If so, Amazon said Tuesday it plans to make up to $70 million in refunds available to its customers.

You’re eligible if you were billed for charges made by a child, and the incident took place between November 2011 and May 2016, according to the Federal Trade Commission.

You should have received an email from Amazon on May 26, with instructions on how to request the refund. You can use this link for help.

Otherwise, if you're not sure if you're eligible, follow these steps:

1.) Go to Amazon and sign in
2.) Choose 'Your Account'
3.) Go to the Message Center, where you’ll find more information under Important Messages (if you’re indeed eligible for the refund).

The deadline to request a refund is May 26, 2018.
