As Seen On TV Tuesday: Crumby

HOUSTON – Cracker crumbs, coffee grounds and other small spills don't always require your full-size vacuum or even a Dustbuster. Now, there's a vacuum that fits in the palm of your hand or your purse, so you can clean on the go.

Consumer expert Amy Davis tested the device called the Crumby mini vacuum.

It has its own jingle in the infomercial: "Crumby - for life's little messes. Crumby - no more stresses," goes the song.

The tiny vacuums come in three different designs, and they cost $10 each. Just pop in two AA batteries and turn on the Crumby with a switch on the side.

Davis' Crumby colored as a "Buzzing Bumble Bee" easily sucked up sugar from her office chair and coffee grounds off of her desk. It also did well vacuuming the floor mat of a KPRC Channel 2 vehicle.

The only job where Crumby's performance was pretty crummy was getting food particles out of the cracks of Davis' rustic dining table.

The mini vac didn't have the suction power to pull the crumbs out of the crevices. It works best on flat surfaces. For the small price tag, Crumby is a handy little device to have around the house when you don't feel like lugging out the vacuum.
