Hundreds of thousands of Americans are returning to the workforce.
According to a new report from the Labor Department, employers are turning to lower-educated workers in a bid to fill job openings. The labor force participation rate, which is the part of the population working or looking for jobs, rose to 62.9 percent from 62.4 percent since September.
In other business news, Redbox is reportedly trying to get back into the streaming industry. According to Variety, Redbox is gearing up to launch Redbox Digital. Its last venture into the industry, Redbox Instant, failed to gain any traction and was shut down in 2014.
Unlike Redbox Instant, the new service won’t try to compete with Netflix. Instead, it will take on services like Google Play, focusing on digital rentals and purchases for online streaming.
