Eyes on Houston: 27th Annual Texas Music Festival at the University of Houston

HOUSTON – The University of Houston’s 27th Annual Texas Music Festival brings the creme of the crop of classical musicians from around the world to form one orchestra that is directed by different famous conductors.

This is an intense program that places students with members of the Houston Symphony and other musical greats that will help them direct their musical careers.

They rehearse and perform several concerts for the Houston area.

As the musicians strive to prepare for positions with symphonies around the globe, they have to audition in a situation similar to the popular TV show “The Voice."

They still have some performances you can see. For more information, go to tmf.uh.edu. For more information about charitable events in Houston, check out www.socialbook.com.
