Eyes on Houston: Juneteenth Bike Giveaway

HOUSTON –

This year's Juneteenth celebration brought smiles to 300 kids at Finnegan Park on Houston's East side.

The Black McDonald's Operators Association and Dr. Pepper provided bicycles, helmets, safety guides and Bibles to kick off the summer for the kids.

Ronald McDonald made an appearance, and you could tell the children were ready to explore the world on their new bikes.

The children, ages 6 to 11 years old, were chosen from several areas of Houston depending on their needs.

Of course the kids got burgers an popsicles to help cool off the hot day and off they went.
