Cookin' Time with H-E-B: Grilled sausage, fried rice, salsa criolla salad

Salsa Criolla Salad
Prep and Cook Time: 20 minutes
Serves:  4-6

 


Salsa Criolla Sweet or Caliente
Sundried Tomato,
Cojita Cheese,
Sliced grilled chicken breast,
 Diced red/purple onion
Roasted red Pepper

•    Toss all ingredients together and let sit 15-20 minutes, toss again and serve with toasted garlic baguette rounds


MAMA TANG’S
FRIED RICE

Prep time: 10 mins cooking time: 10 mins Serves: 4


3 cups cooked long grain white rice – room temperature
½ bottle MAMA TANGS asian vinaigrette (sweet or spicy)
2 large eggs-beaten
2 tbsp low sodium soy sauce
1 small package of coleslaw
1 cup match stick carrots (optional)
1 tbsp Adams Reserve rub, your choice
4 tbsp Ottavio grapeseed oil

1. Heat oil in large skillet over medium high heat
2. Once oil is hot sauté carrots and coleslaw mix for 3 min
3. Add  beaten eggs and continuously stir with wooden spoon until scrambled
4. Add rice, asian rub, mama tangs vinaigrette, and soy sauce

5.Toss all ingredients together gently and cook another minute, continuously stir gently so that rice doesn’t stick
 

Ultimate Grilled Sausage
Prep Time: 3 mins Cooking Time: 12 mins Serves: 2-4



1 package HEB Beef Smoked Sausage (original or beef)
1 package of thick sliced HEB Hickory Smoked Bacon
Vela Farms Sweet Tea Marinade, Strawberry Balsamic Jam or Orange Chili Marmalade


1. Take each sausage link and slice in the middle lengthwise then wrap each half in bacon
2. Now grill, pan fry or pop ‘em in the oven til the bacon is cooked and a little crispy
3. Plate and let rest a couple of minutes
4. Pour the warmed  sauce over sausage when done  and enjoy!!
