Samantha joined the KPRC 2 News team in February 2014.
She made her way to Texas from Tucson, Arizona, where she reported for KMSB-TV and KVOA-TV. During her time in the desert, Samantha covered the 2011 mass shooting that nearly killed former Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords. She also spent a week in Prescott, Arizona, reporting on the Yarnell Hill tragedy that claimed the lives of 19 firefighters.
Prior to reporting in the "dry heat," Samantha worked as a reporter at WREX-TV in Rockford, Illinois. The station was only about an hour drive from where she was born and raised, in a suburb of Chicago.
Samantha is a graduate of the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University. While at NU, she got her first taste of reporting while working at KVRR-TV in Fargo, North Dakota.
She also minored in Spanish and studied for one summer in the beautiful city of Guanajuato, Mexico.
When she's not at work, Samantha enjoys checking out new restaurants, being outside on a sunny day and all things chocolate.
