Get 2 Know Me
- I first moved to Houston to work at KPRC in December 2006. Later, I did a brief stint at our sister station in Detroit, but came back to Houston and KPRC. It was a good move - Houston is home.
- I have a husband, Huy, and the sweetest little dog in the world, Pickle.
- I’ve completed over 30 marathons! I’ve also completed three IRONMAN triathlons - a 2.4 mile swim, 112 mile bike and full 26.2 mile marathon back-to-back. I’m a glutton for punishment.
I was a chemical engineer for six years and spent a lot of time in a plant or an office. Eventually, I decided I needed a change of scenery.
I sold my house, quit my job and returned to college to earn my Master’s Degree in meteorology.
It was a bold move and I don’t regret it for a second!
Do to others as you would have them do to you.
You can’t go wrong if you follow the Golden Rule.
In 2014, I was hit by a van while training for my first IRONMAN triathlon and broke my neck in two places.
In the emergency room, I vowed to battle back and cross the finish line in 2015.
I kept that promise. Crossing the finish line was a moment I’ll never forget!
