Anoushah Rasta joined KPRC 2 News in October 2014 and couldn't be more excited to be living in Houston.
Anoushah has spent nearly 5 years in Texas but she is a California girl at heart. She attended the University of California-Los Angeles, where she studied Mass Communications and Public Policy, graduating with honors.
While in college, she was a video journalist for UCLA's esteemed student media organization, The Daily Bruin.
Anoushah was also a production intern for KTLA, one of the local TV news stations in Los Angeles. She covered weekly tapings for the Fox program, "So You Think You Can Dance?" where she interviewed contestants cut from the show.
After graduating from college, Anoushah worked for KABC-TV as a news assistant, apprentice, and later as a freelance traffic producer. While at KABC, Anoushah was on the production team for the 84th annual Academy Awards and the Screen Actors Guild Awards in 2012.
Anoushah was also a reporter for Life & Style Weekly, an entertainment publication. She has interviewed celebrities like Betty White, Jennifer Love Hewitt, Ciara, Rachel McAdams and Channing Tatum.
Before coming to Houston, Anoushah was a reporter/multimedia journalist and weekend anchor for KTSM NewsChannel 9, the NBC affiliate in El Paso.
Some of the big news stories Anoushah has covered for KPRC2 include traveling to Ciudad Juárez, Mexico for Pope Francis' visit, the 2016 Democratic debate in Charleston, South Carolina, the movie theatre shooting in Lafayette, Louisiana, and locally, historic Houston flooding in 2015.
She speaks fluent French, Farsi, and conversational Spanish.
