Get 2 Know Me
- Like so many die-hard Houston sports fans, I’ve called Houston home my entire life. So I’ve experienced most of the heartache and gut-wrenching close calls!
- Attended Frostwood Elementary, Memorial Middle School and Memorial HS, then the University of Texas (’95).
- Just celebrated my 15th wedding anniversary with my wife Robin. We have a daughter, Samantha, and son, Ryan – all of them, big Houston sports fans!
I got into covering sports because I love the games and telling stories about the teams, athletes and fans that love them.
I’ve had many memorable moments, but I’ll never forget asking a pair of Duke basketball players a question during an NCAA press conference.
For some reason I lost my voice in the middle of the question. The 2 players cracked up and then the next media member that asked a question totally mocked my warbled, crackling voice.
Everyone had a good laugh.
