HOUSTON - A weak ridge of high pressure will dominate the weather pattern in southeastern Texas through most of the weekend. That means weather should be great, which has been the trend so far this month.
The past three weekends have been fantastic, and this weekend will continue the trend. Temperatures will be slightly warmer than normal for this time of year. Look for a high of 70 degrees on Saturday and 74 on Sunday. While we won't have perfectly blue skies this weekend, we should catch quite a bit of sun Saturday before clouds thicken on Sunday.
Don't be surprised to see a stray shower or two pop up as the weekend winds down. A weak cold front will push into the area Sunday night. That will bring us a 20% chance for showers as early as late Sunday afternoon. At 20 percent, most of us probably won't even run across a shower. And, those that do won't be facing any severe weather.
Any showers dwindle to nothing overnight Sunday, setting us up for a dry work week next week.
