HOUSTON - The arctic cold front blasts into the area near noon Tuesday and the temperatures will quickly drop and the winds will pick up.
Expect north winds 15-25 mph with gusts up to 35 mph inland.
Near the coast, winds will be stronger with gusts as high as 40mph.
Temperatures will climb into the mid and upper 60s before falling into the 50s in the afternoon and the 40s in the evening.
There is a freeze watch in effect for our northern cities from 3 a.m. to 8 a.m. Wednesday morning.
Be sure to take care of the pets and tender vegetation.
