FLORIDA – Tropical Storm Julia has formed tonight right along the northeast Florida coast, around Jacksonville.
The storm will continue to push inland to Georgia the next 48 hours where it will dissipate.

As it does so, 3-6 inches of rain, with isolated amounts to 10 inches will be possible along with 40 mph winds, heavy surf and dangerous rip currents.
The storm has been watched closely since this afternoon and formed just this evening over the warm waters of the Gulf Stream.
