HOUSTON - There is a slight chance of isolated rain and thunderstorms for your Sunday.
There are a few showers out in the Gulf, but they may have a struggle to make it inland. It is going to be a very warm day with highs in the low to mid 90s.
Houston's expected high this afternoon is 94 degrees. Galveston is expected to hit 89 degrees.
Thanks to Hurricane Ingrid in the Southwest Gulf, we are going to experience some higher than usual tides by about 1 to 2 feet. Seas will be around 5 to 7 feet and may increase to 7 to 9 feet Monday.
There is a small craft advisory in place today because of the increased activity in the Gulf of Mexico. Monday, we have a slight chance of rain and thunderstorm activity. Some of the storms may produce heavy rain and gusty winds.
The unsettled weather pattern continues through the work week with daytime highs staying in the low 90s.
