Sunday scattered showers today. Rainy start to work week to follow

Cold Front is stalled over Southeast Texas this morning and will be for most of day.

With very humid air in the lower levels of the atmosphere that creates a climate for scattered showers throughout the day with stronger and more widespread showers and thunderstorms to start your work week on Monday morning.

Flooding conditions are NOT expected but an occasional merging of storm cells can’t be ruled out.

Temperatures will be cooler than Saturday but with higher humidity it won’t be a comfortable “cooler.” Expect highs to be in the low to mid 80s today with 80s and upper 70s the next three days before sun makes a bold re-appearance Tuesday and for the rest of the week heading into Mother’s Day.

Right now there is about a 20% chance for showers on Mother’s day but that number will change between now and then. Highs this week are not expected to top 86 degrees.
