HOUSTON -

It was a wet start to the weekend as heavy rain and high winds streamed in from the south.

As a storm system continues to move in, the biggest threat was strong wind. Tornado watches were issued for large parts of Southeast Texas.

By late Saturday afternoon/evening, the showers moved through and blue skies appeared.

Sunday morning there is still a slight chance of rain, but drying really takes over throughout the day. It will be partly cloudy in the afternoon.

Temperatures this weekend will be taking a dive.

Houston was around 79 degrees Saturday, but will drop to 67 degrees Sunday.

Monday and Tuesday will be mild days with highs in the mid 50s with mostly sunny skies.
