Police are asking anyone who is involved in a minor accident -- without injuries -- to please move vehicles to the side of the road or off of freeways, exchange information, take pictures of damage and move on. Police will respond to accidents with injuries and immovable vehicles. Residents can take the information collected and either return to a police station at a later time to make a report or make a report online.

The City of Houston Emergency Operations Center (EOC) said it has returned to normal operations, after spending the early morning monitoring the winter weather which impacted southeast Texas. The EOC was activated at 1 a.m. Tuesday to monitor winter weather response with METRO, HFD, HPD, Public Works & Engineering Department and Office of Emergency Management.

The City of Houston is open and running at normal business hours on Tuesday. City employees are expected to report to work at their normal times.

City officials encourage residents to give themselves extra time in the morning and drive with caution during their commute, as rain has created slick conditions across the region.
