Cool weather continues into weekend, showers Saturday morning

A little wet to start, but a nice weekend overall.

HOUSTON – After freezing temperatures in parts of southeast Texas Friday morning and a cool, bright Friday afternoon, Friday evening marks the start of another chilly night.  Temperatures will drop into the 40s, so grab a jacket before you head out the door for your evening plans!

The evening begins with mainly clear skies, but clouds eventually move in and, after midnight, a few scattered showers will begin to dot the landscape as an upper-atmospheric disturbance approaches from the west.

Scattered showers will be possible through mid-day Saturday.  By Saturday afternoon, the disturbance will exit the region to the east, taking the rain with it and leaving us bathed in sunshine once again.

Temperatures on Saturday will start near 40 degrees and warm into the low 60s by afternoon.

Sunday's weather will be highlighted by bright blue skies and temperatures in the mid-60s.  It should be a spectacular finish to the weekend.  Enjoy!
