HOUSTON - Tuesday was another very wet day around Houston, and the trend won't stop as we head through mid-week. Wednesday promises to bring another soaking, with 1 to 2 inches of rain possible once again in parts of southeast Texas.
Each day since Saturday, isolated locations have received more than 2 inches of rain. This is thanks to an unstable weather pattern that will continue for a little while longer. The rain is certainly welcome to many who are enjoying greener lawns and gardens, and cooler temperatures.
By Thursday, we'll begin to slowly dry out as rain chances taper off. By the weekend, we'll be likely to see a 30 to 40 percent chance for more typical afternoon pop-up thunderstorms. So, for those of you who have weekend plans that hinge on the weather, look for a noticeable improvement from the soggy conditions we're currently dealing with.
