Experts Say Flood Insurance Needed

HOUSTON -- Hurricane Bertha's strength this early in the season may be a sign of a strong season to come. Experts said it should serve as a reminder to make sure families are protected with flood insurance.According to the Harris County Flood Control District, nearly all of Harris County falls within the 100-year flood plain.Flood insurance policies are separate from home insurance policies, and can cost as little as a dollar a day.Insurance agents recommend that the amount of flood coverage should equal the amount a home is insured for.More Information:
