Auto club AAA has launched a new Web site that offers directions and maps to anywhere you want to get to, mimicking its famous TripTik service.

AAAmaps.com is available even to those who aren't members. But the service does offer you the opportunity to sign up.

One cool feature is that on short trips, it provides details of restaurants, attractions and lodging right on the map.

When getting directions, it also allow you to enter a restaurant, airport, attraction, national park or other destination, rather than a street address.
