Security At Airport Gets Easier With New Lanes

HOUSTON -- The holiday travel season is under way and Bush Intercontinental Airport is trying to help travelers get through security checks easier, KPRC Local 2 reported Thursday.There are new lines to speed the checks up for some travelers and slow them down for others."Everything slows down," traveler Adriana Cavender said. "Take off your shoes, check your bags, check everything, take my laptop out of my bag. It's slow."The family lanes will give travelers with children a little extra time to go through the checks.There are also separate lanes for expert travelers who know the security drill and casual travelers who may need a little help but don't have children or special needs.Seasoned travelers said they were happy about the new lanes because it should cut down the amount of time they have to wait in line."I travel every week so that would make it even faster," one man said.The airport also now has mobile charging stations in terminals A, C, D and E to allow passengers to charge their cellular phones or laptop computers.
