The Voice, Quarterfinals part II Results Show

Watch The Voice live Results Show on Tuesdays at 8pm on NBC!

HOUSTON – Tuesday night's live results show saw some predictable choices and some unfortunate losses.

Team Adam:

America's save: Tony Lucca. Say WHAAAA? I guess I underestimated the power of a Britney Spears cover. I'm still hoping this means we'll have a Mouseketeer reunion show…

Adam's save: Katrina Parker. She really does win the "most improved" award this season, rising to the top of Adam's list (even though that list is somewhat mediocre to begin with). I just wish Adam wouldn't be quite so blunt about not really liking her until now—it's just not tactful. But I tend to cringe every time Adam opens his mouth to speak these days… But back to Katrina. She picked a great song for herself ("Perfect" by P!nk), and sang the poop out of it. Kudos, Katrina!

Going home: Mathai. I am deeply, sincerely sad to see this girl go. I think she had some outstanding moments, and will undoubtedly do something great with her talent. But really? "Cowboy Cassanova" by Carrie Underwood as your last-chance-to-save-your-life-in-this-competition song? A weird song choice which made for a weird performance. Unfortunate, but cest la vie!

Team Cee-Lo:

America's save: Jamar Rogers. Once again, DUH. He's going all the way, and that's all there is to it. I don't think anyone else on Team Cee-Lo can touch this man. Or his mother for that matter.

Cee-Lo's save: Juliet Simms. I also thought this was the obvious choice for Cee-Lo. Juliet is spectacular, singing everything to the rafters. I actually liked her choice of "Torn" by Natalie Imbruglia, which she still managed to rock out. Sure, that chin wobble situation kind of annoys me, but if you're not zoomed in super close, it's hard to find a flaw with her performance. I look forward to seeing what she brings to the table in the semifinals, especially given Xtina's advice of sticking with more songs a la "Roxanne."

Going home: Cheesa. We all knew it was coming. Yes, she was great last night, but the real stars of this team are Jamar and Juliet (in that order). And singing the entirety of her last chance song noticeably flat most certainly didn't help things. One money note isn't enough to save you at this point. Aloha, Cheesa.

SO! Onward to the semifinals! Here are the semifinalists from each team:

Team Blake: Erin Willett and Jermaine Paul

Team Xtina: Lindsey Pavao and Chris Mann

Team Adam: Katrina Parker and Tony Lucca

Team Cee-Lo: Juliet Simms and Jamar Rogers

Tune in next week for The Voice Semifinals!
