- Do you have an event you would like KPRC Local 2 to be a part of? Please put your proposal in writing, explaining your event and how KPRC Local 2 can help. Provide specific event details, including description, date, time and location, along with suggestions on what you would like for KPRC Local 2 to do. All proposals should be submitted at least three months prior to your event. Be sure to include a contact name and number where you can be reached during business hours. Mail your proposal to Eric Greene, c/o KPRC-TV/Local 2, 8181 Southwest Freeway, Houston, Texas 77074, or fax to 713-778-8900. KPRC Local 2’s Community Involvement Committee (CIC) will discuss your proposal and how we can best assist with your event. We will contact you once a decision has been reached regarding your proposal.

- Saturday, May 10, 1-3 p.m. More than 250 of the most amazing motorized creations you've ever seen will roll near downtown Houston. The Art Car Parade starts at Taft and Allen Parkway inbound towards downtown, takes a left on Brazos and goes back down Allen Parkway outbound, ending at Waugh. - Tuesday, May 13, Shotgun Start: 12:30 p.m. Wildcat Golf Club, 12000 Almeda Join KPRC Local 2 anchor Rachel McNeill for her second annual tournament to help Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Houston. Teams will include top decision-makers from some of Houston's leading companies, not to mention great food and fabulous raffle prizes. All money raised by the tournament will go toward BBBS' mission of creating positive, one-to-one mentoring relationships between children in the Houston area and caring, adult volunteer mentors.
