HOUSTON – With the Big 12 Conference still unsure of expansion plans, KPRC-TV has confirmed a report with Pac-12 Conference Senior Vice President of Public Affairs Erik Hardenbergh that University of Houston Athletics Director Hunter Yurachek met with Pac-12 officials in June.

The meeting, which was requested by Yurachek, took place in San Francisco and Pac-12 Commissioner Larry Scott agreed to meet, according to Hardenbergh.

“It was an introductory meeting with Yurachek back in June while he was on the West Coast,” said Hardenbergh. “Commissioner Scott met with him, but as he’s said recently, he is not interested in expansion right now and is content with 12 teams.”
