HOUSTON -

They say timing is everything but Monday night proved to be interesting for the Texans organization which played host to both Johnny Manziel and Jadeveon Clowney on separate visits.

Clowney took a later flight  and arrived in Houston Monday evening and quickly went to meet with Texans officials over dinner after taking an alternate exit from the airport.  At the same time, Manziel, who spent most of Monday at the facility after driving into town, was also having dinner with other members of the Texans coaching staff.

It's not clear if the two players crossed paths Monday night but Clowney's visit  will stay on schedule and continue into Tuesday as planned.

Manziel's week also includes a trip to Cleveland to meet with the Browns who worked out Manziel in recent days. Cleveland reportedly has strong interest in Manziel.

The NFL Draft is scheduled to begin on May 8 and the Texans currently still hold the #1 overall pick.  There continue to be national reports that have the Texans willing to trade down if the right package is presented.

Sources tell KPRC Local 2 Sports that the Texans still have their Wednesday visit  scheduled with Quarterback prospect Teddy Bridgewater of Louisville.
