Forbes released its list of the Most Valuable NFL Teams and the Texans cracked the Top 5.
The magazine's website says when it comes to professional sports the NFL is king. According to Forbes, the NFL's 32 teams are worth on average $1.17 billion, which is up five percent from last year.
The Texans were among five teams (Texans, Patriots, Cowboys, Falcons and Rams) that had double-digit gains in value.
Topping the list for the seventh consecutive season was the Cowboys ($2.3 billion). In second place was the Patriots ($1.8 billion), followed by the Redskins ($1.7 billion) and the New York Giants ($1.55 billion).
The Texans were ranked fifth with a value of $1.45 billion. Forbes says the team's brand has never been stronger with consecutive AFC South division titles and lucrative stadium revenue.
