HOUSTON -

Fresh off of their disappointing 32-0 loss in the preseason opener at Arizona, the Texans got an emotional lift Wednesday morning at practice.

The trio of Arian Foster, Andre Johnson and Brian Cushing were all suited up for the start of joint workouts with Saturday's opponent, the Atlanta Falcons, at NRG Park.

Cushing was limited as he hit the field for the first time since his season-ending knee injury last year.

Johnson had been nursing a reported hamstring injury. As for Foster, his injury has not been disclosed, but

VIDEO: Arian Foster trying to be the best teammate he can be

HOUSTON -

Texans running back Arian Foster can be a man of few words.

He made rare public comments when he spoke to KPRC Local 2 earlier this month about offseason training at his brother's facility and Andre Johnson.

Foster missed two days of training camp because of a hamstring injury, but returned to the field Wednesday.

He answered questions from the media. But the catch was that Foster gave a similar response for each question.

Question 1: How did you feel? Were you 100 percent out there today?

Foster: Yeah, man. I'm just out here trying to be the best teammate I can be. I'm going to work hard at doing that.

Question 2: Physically, you're good to go?

Foster: Yeah, man. I'm just trying to best the beat teammate I can be, man.

Question 3: Arian, can you tell us exactly what kept you out? What was going on?

Foster: Yeah, man. I'm just trying to be the best teammate I can be. I'm going to work hard at doing that.

Question 4: But what was physically wrong?

Foster: Yeah. I'm just out here, man. Just working hard every single day trying to be the best teammate I can be.

Question 5: What did it mean to be able to get back out here and start working?

Foster: Yeah, you know. Being with your teammates and being the best teammate you can be is what you strive to do. So that's what I'm out here doing.

Question 6: Your teammates talk about how they want to see you out here. They know what you mean to this ballclub. What does all that stuff mean to you, Arian?

Foster: Yeah, man. When you're when you're the best teammate you can be, man ... you just work hard at doing that every single day, you know? That's what we're out here trying to do.

Question 7: Is your body starting to break down on you?

Foster: Yeah, man. I'm just out here trying to be the best teammate I can be. I'm going to work hard at doing that.

Question 8: How's that coming, Arian? Your progress at being a better teammate.

Foster: Yeah, you know. Every single day, just try to be a better teammate, man.

Question 9: What do you think about these fans going crazy for you guys?

Foster: Yeah, man. I'm just out here trying to be the best teammate I can be. I'm going to continue doing that.

Question 10: Is there any difference in how you felt today physically ... ?

Foster: Yeah, man. You know, just out here trying to be the best teammate I can be. Day in and day out, man. I'm just going to continue working hard doing that.

Questoin 11: What was the offseason like working at your brother's facility? Different than other previous seasons?

Foster: Yeah. Every single day, man. Just working hard trying to be the best teammate I can be.

Reporter: You got that down.

Foster: Thank you.

Reporter: You're welcome.

Foster: All right. Y'all take care.
