HOUSTON – The Eagles from Second Baptist High School have won the TAPPS 4A State Baseball Championship beating Midland Christian 7-2 Wednesday afternoon at Baseball USA in Houston.
The title is the first for former Astros star Lance Berkman who was in his first year as the Eagles Head Coach. His staff also included former Astros and Yankees Pitcher Andy Pettitte.
The Eagles finished the season with a 32-9 record.
