San Francisco passes the Super Bowl baton to Houston

Super Bowl 50 is in the books, but the first chapter of next year's big game in Houston is just beginning.

As San Francisco passed the ball to Houston, we learned what our Super Bowl planning committee has up its sleeve during a hand-off ceremony on Monday.

During the ceremony, the San Francisco Bay Super Bowl 50 Host Committee officially handed over the reins to the Houston Super Bowl Committee. NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell and '49ers owner Jed York are just a few of the big names who passed the ball to Houston.

"My impression of the game is that it's just awesome. This is a great stadium here," Ric Campo, Houston Super Bowl Committee chairman said.

It's time to review what worked at Super Bowl 50, what didn't and what will change next year at NRG.

"The most important thing for me, and for the fans I think is how fast I can get a drink, how fast can I go to the restroom, and how fast can I get my seat," Campo said.

One of the most important things on the committee's to-do list is making sure people know that Houston is the home of Super Bowl LI. Campo said the marketing starts immediately.

"We'll start doing our work with the Houston rodeo. And then we'll do a tailgate that will go all over the state of Texas," he said

Super Bowl LI is set to hit Houston Feb. 5 2017.
