Houston well-represented in Olympic competitions

RIO DE JANEIRO – There is a lot of action on tap today. There is never a dull moment when you're talking the team USA power house.

Houston will be well-represented in the competitions today.

Diver Kassidy Cook of the Woodlands, first time Olympian, is competing in the finals of the 3 meter springboard as she continues her quest for the gold. She has her family in Rio de Janeiro and they're excited to cheer her on.

Sugar Land native Simone Manuel, the gold medal winner competing today in the  50 meter freestyle final, has made her home town and all of Houston proud and is ready to rack up more medals in Rio.

Michael Phelps’ final Olympic race is tonight, as he swims the butterfly leg for Team USA in the men’s 4x100 meter medley relay. Phelps has rewritten history during these games and is the most decorated Olympian of all time.
