Houston Texans ticket prices to remain the same for 2014 season

HOUSTON – After a disappointing 2013 season, the Houston Texans have announced that ticket prices will remain the same for the upcoming season.

The Texans' average general ticket price will be $86.39 per ticket, which ranked 12th in the NFL in 2013. The team says it's the first time since 2011 that the average price of a Texans' ticket has held steady.

In the 2014 season, Houston will face plays three 2013 division winners at Reliant Stadium: NFC East champion Philadelphia, AFC North winner Cincinnati and AFC South rival Indianapolis. Besides Jacksonville and Tennessee, the Texans will host Baltimore, Buffalo and Washington.

The Texans finished 2-14 last season and hold the first overall draft pick in May's NFL Draft. They hired Bill O'Brien earlier this month as their new head coach.

According to the team, the Texans have sold out 122 consecutive games at Reliant -- a Houston NFL record -- and their 12 consecutive sold-out seasons represent the longest sellout streak of any professional sports team in Houston history.

The Texans say they are accepting applications for the 2014 season ticket priority wait list, which currently has more than 22,000 members.  To join the priority wait list, call 832-667-2390 or visit HoustonTexans.com.
